Dr. Michou Tran Shell
Dr. Michou Tran Shell was born in Saigon, Vietnam, and her family immigrated to the United States in 1975. She grew up in Merkel, Texas, and graduated from Merkel High School in 1991 as valedictorian. She is a 1995 graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where she earned her B.A. in biology with high honors and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa the following year. She earned her D.D.S. degree in 2000 from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio Dental School where she graduated summa cum laude and became a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon. After graduating, Dr. Tran entered the endodontic residency program at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in Gainesville, Florida, where she obtained her certificate in Endodontics in 2002. She moved back to San Antonio, Texas, in the summer of 2002 to join a fee-for-service endodontic practice in San Antonio. In 2004, Dr. Tran opened Westlake Endodontics, P.A. in Austin, TX. Dr. Tran is currently a specialist member of the American Association of Endodontists, a member of the American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association as well as the Capital Area Dental Society.
